The world’s best-selling home use foetal Doppler, enabling expecting parents to carry out regular checks in between routine hospital checkups and keep anxiety levels to a minimum. You can also share the magic with family and friends by allowing them to listen with you, or by saving a recording to your PC and sending it to them.
This device works by emitting and receiving sound waves. When sound waves reflect off a moving target (the baby’s beating heart), they return at a slightly different frequency to that which was emitted. The difference between the going and returning frequencies is called the Doppler shift, and this shift can be played from the device’s speakers as audible sound. This is the same technology used in ultrasound imaging.
The Sonoline B is used by doctors and midwives in hospital and clinic settings, as well as for daily self-check by pregnant woman. This fetal doppler is a high performance model with FHR LCD digital display which provides three modes: real-time FHR display mode, averaged FHR display mode and manual mode (allowing the user to view a fetal heart rate for an 8 heart beat period).
